Los Ratones (en inglés: The Mice) son un par de galaxias en la constelación de Coma Berenices que están en proceso de colisión y fusión. Su denominación es NGC 4676, y se encuentran a unos 300 millones de años luz de la Vía Láctea. El nombre proviene de sus largas colas.

NGC 4676 = IC 819/20 (manchmal Die Mäuse genannt) ist ein Paar interagierender Galaxien im Sternbild Coma Berenices am Nordsternhimmel, das etwa 296 Millionen Lichtjahre von der Milchstraße entfernt ist. Die beiden Galaxien kollidierten vor etwa 150 Millionen Jahren und werden in etwa 400 Millionen Jahren zu einer elliptischen Galaxie verschmelzen.

NGC 4676, or the Mice Galaxies, are two spiral galaxies in the constellation Coma Berenices. About 290 million light-years distant,[2] they have begun the process of colliding and merging. Their name refers to the long tails produced by tidal action—the relative difference between gravitational pulls on the near and far parts of each galaxy—known here as a galactic tide. It is a possibility that both galaxies, which are members of the Coma Cluster,[3] have experienced collision, and will continue colliding until they coalesce.
