Jennifer J. Wiseman ist eine US-amerikanische Astronomin.
Wiseman erhielt ihren Bachelor in Physik vom MIT und 1995 den Ph.D. in Astronomie von der Harvard University. Sie entdeckte 1987 den nach ihr benannten periodischen Kometen 114P/Wiseman-Skiff, während sie eine Forschungsarbeit durchführte.[1] Sie war Chefin am ExoPlanets and Stellar Astrophysics Laboratory der Astrophysics Science Division beim NASA Goddard Space Flight Center und arbeitet derzeit als leitende Wissenschaftlerin für das Hubble-Weltraumteleskop.[2]
Wiseman ist Christin und Fellow der American Scientific Affiliation.[3] Am 16. Juni 2010 wurde sie als neue Direktorin der American Association for the Advancement of Science’s Dialogue on Science, Ethics, and Religion benannt.[4]

Jennifer J. Wiseman is Senior Project Scientist on the Hubble Space Telescope, and an American astronomer, born in Mountain Home, Arkansas.[1] She earned a bachelor's degree in physics from MIT and aPh.D. in Astronomy from Harvard University in 1995. Wiseman discovered periodic comet 114P/Wiseman-Skiff while working as an undergraduate search assistant in 1987. Wiseman is a senior astrophysicist at the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center, where she serves as the Senior Project Scientist[2] for the Hubble Space Telescope. She previously headed the Laboratory for Exoplanets and Stellar Astrophysics. She studies star forming regions of our galaxy using radio, optical, and infrared telescopes,[3] with a particular interest in molecular cloud cores, protostars, and outflows.
