Mufrid (auch Muphrid, aus arabisch مفرد الرامح, DMG mufrad ar-rāmiḥ ‚einzelner Lanzenträger‘) ist der Eigenname des Sterns η Bootis (Eta Bootis) im Sternbild Bärenhüter. Er stellt den rechten Fuß der mythologischen Gestalt dar.

Eta Boötis (η Boötis, abbreviated Eta Boo, η Boo) is a binary star in the constellation of Boötes. Based on parallax measurements obtained during the Hipparcos mission, it is approximately 37 light-years (11 parsecs) distant from the Sun.[1] Since 1943, the spectrum of this star has served as one of the stable anchor points by which other stars are classified.[8] It forms a double star with the star BD+19 2726.[9]

Con magnitud aparente +2,68, en el cielo aparece muy cerca de Arturo y de hecho ambas están a una distancia casi idéntica de la Tierra —37 años luz—, estando separadas sólo 3,24 años luz entre sí.
