This object is a yellow giant with 96% the mass of the Sun and an enlarged diameter of 9.65 solar radii.[6] It radiates at 41.2 times the luminosity of the Sun from its photosphere at an effective temperature of 4,708 K, giving a yellow orange glow.[6] HD 72922 is metal deficient due to a metallicity only 37% that of the Sun[6] and spins too slowly to be measured.[7]
