NGC 454 is a pair of interacting galaxies located in the constellation Phoenix. John Herschel discovered it on October 5, 1834. It was described by Dreyer as "very faint, small, round, brighter middle."[2]

NGC 454 ist ein wechselwirkendes Galaxienpaar im Sternbild Phönix, welches etwa 158 Millionen Lichtjahre von der Milchstraße entfernt ist. Das Paar besteht aus einer elliptischen Galaxie (östliche Komponente, NGC 454E) und einer irregulären Galaxie, die möglicherweise auch eine Scheiben-Galaxie sein könnte (westliche Komponente, NGC 454W).
