HD 27245 is an aging red giant with a stellar classification of M0 III. At present it has 108% the mass of the Sun[7] and an enlarged radius of 36.11 R.[8] It shines at 273 times the luminosity of the Sun from its photosphere at an effective temperature of 3,921 K,[8] giving it a red glow. HD 27245's iron abundance is 129% that of the Sun.[7]

HD 27245 is a suspected variable star that fluctuates by 0.05 magnitudes.[5]
