La siguiente es una lista de las estrellas más grandes conocidas hasta el momento, según los estudios realizados por los astrónomos; los tamaños están expresados en radios solares ( ). El orden exacto de esta lista no es definitivo ni completo. Además, hay que apuntar lo siguiente:

Hay que tener en cuenta que no siempre las estrellas más grandes son muy masivas, ni viceversa. R136a1 es un ejemplo, dado que es la estrella más masiva (es una hipergigante), pero su radio es de 35,4 radios solares.
