NGC 703 is a lenticular galaxy located 240 million light-years away[2] in the constellation Andromeda. The galaxy was discovered by astronomer William Herschel on September 21, 1786[3] and is also a member of Abell 262.[4][5][6][7]

NGC 703 ist eine elliptische Radiogalaxie vom Hubble-Typ E/S0[2] im Sternbild Andromeda am Nordsternhimmel. Sie ist schätzungsweise 255 Millionen Lichtjahre von der Milchstraße entfernt und hat einen Durchmesser von etwa 65.000 Lichtjahren. Die Galaxie gilt als Mitglied der Galaxiengruppe Abell 262. Im selben Himmelsareal befinden sich u. a. die Galaxien NGC 704, NGC 705, NGC 708, NGC 709.

NGC 703 (другие обозначения — UGC 1346, MCG +6-5-29, CGCG 522-37, PGC 6957) — галактика в созвездии Андромеда. Открыта Уильямом Гершелем в 1786 году. Описание Дрейера: «очень тусклый, очень маленький объект круглой формы, первый из четырёх», причём под другими три объектами подразумевались NGC 704, NGC 705 и NGC 708[8].
