NGC 710 is a spiral galaxy located 260 million light-years away[2] in the constellation Andromeda. It was discovered by the Irish engineer and astronomer Bindon Blood Stoney on October 28, 1850[3][4] and is a member of the galaxy cluster Abell 262.[5][6][7][8][9]

SN 2002eo


On August 20, 2002 a type II supernova designated as SN 2002eo was discovered in NGC 710.[14][15][16]

NGC 710 ist eine Spiralgalaxie vom Hubble-Typ Sc im Sternbild Andromeda am Nordsternhimmel. Sie ist schätzungsweise 280 Millionen Lichtjahre von der Milchstraße entfernt und hat einen Durchmesser von etwa 100.000 Lichtjahren. Die Galaxie gilt als Mitglied der Galaxiengruppe Abell 262. Im selben Himmelsareal befinden sich u. a. die Galaxien NGC 703, NGC 704, NGC 705, NGC 708.
